Proven Constitutional Conservative
As a Justice on the 12th Court of Appeals, I am proud of our record of delivering consistent rulings that defend Texans’ constitutional and statutory rights. I ask for your vote to continue this important work as Chief Justice.
“Justice Brian Hoyle is a rock-solid constitutional conservative with the experience and integrity we need leading the Court of Appeals.
I’ve known Brian for years — he’s a man of principle, deep faith, and impeccable character. We can trust him to serve as Chief Justice with honor and distinction.”

About Justice Hoyle
Justice Brian Hoyle is a lifelong Texan, a committed constitutional conservative, and a proven appellate judge with nearly two decades of experience on the bench. He began his legal career with the Texas Farm Bureau before clerking for The Honorable William M. Steger, U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Texas.
In 2006, Governor Rick Perry appointed Justice Hoyle to the 12th Court of Appeals. Since then, he has been re-elected three times and authored hundreds of opinions that uphold the rule of law and protect the constitutional rights of all Texans.
Before joining the court, Hoyle built a respected civil litigation practice as a partner at Brown McCarroll, LLP in Longview. In that role, he represented businesses across Texas and was known for his thoughtful counsel and firm grasp of the law.
Justice Hoyle is a frequent speaker at legal and civic events and serves as a volunteer consultant for the pre-law program at LeTourneau University. He holds a B.A. from the University of Texas at Arlington and a J.D. from Baylor Law School. Justice Hoyle and his wife, Kendra, live in Tyler. Together, they have six children and worship at Green Acres Baptist Church.
